Hold the “CEO Meeting” with the domestic water purifier makers 2018-09-14

On September 14, Coway held the CEO Meeting with the Korea Consumer Agency and members of the Regular Consultative Group for Water Purifier Makers at the Riverside Hotel located in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

The Regular Consultative Group for Water Purifier Makers is an organization established by major domestic water purifier makers in December 2016 with the aim of realizing consumer safety and enhancing consumer trust. The consultative group has been focusing on reducing consumer complaints pertaining to foreign substances, researching and developing products with easy hygiene control, strengthening hygiene control services, and offering information to consumers together with the Korea Consumer Agency.

The CEO Meeting was prepared to share activities and future action plans of the consultative group, in which Hae-sun Lee, the CEO of Coway, Hee-sook Lee, the President of KCA, CEOs and officers of the consultative group members participated.

The consultative group carried out activities to prevent and inspect incomplete consumer contracts, exaggerative advertisements, and water leakage in the first half of the year, and plans to conduct a campaign to prevent children from fire accidents in the fourth quarter of this year.

The consultative group announced that their various activities have contributed to reducing the number of consumer complaints on foreign substances and bad smell reported through the 1372 Consumer Consulting Center has decreased from 1,511 cases in the previous year to 761 cases in 2018 (from January through August of each year).

All members of the consultative group including Coway are committed to enhancing the hygiene management of water purifiers and realizing customer satisfaction services going forward.
